Today's the day, time to watch for John Sandman/Mr Sands and see if he really is the same person. idk how this will work given I'm not the one who knows Mr Sands and honestly Alex should be doing this but oh well
Alex tells me to be very careful to stay away from him, as he's very dangerous, then I’m on my way. Hanging out at the cafe in Silverglade and waiting for him to show up
Anyways he shows up in a cut scene so I couldn't exactly steal a screenshot of him, but I'll have you know his walk animation is really weird.
Apparently that confirmed he is actually Mr Sands so I go get Alex and then we confront the Baroness and her butler
The Baroness blames stress about GED trying to drill oil next door and a bad winter for why she's been acting so poorly. Lady. That’s not enough to excuse kidnapping.
She says it was raining so she gave Linda a job cleaning in the castle instead of doing chores outside in the stables. Linda ended up finding an old picture of her and her former husband together and she recognized Mr Sands. When the Baroness saw that Linda knew her secret, she panicked and locked her in the castle. You know, a normal reaction.
She then explains the story between her and Mr Sands
That's...creepy...
She understandably ran away and never told him that she was pregnant, and when she had the baby she gave him up for adoption.
Then she basically apologizes, says Linda can have her job back with double the pay, and sends us to go let her out of the castle.
And look! Alex actually came with me this time!
Yay! Linda's my favorite of the soul riders, so I'm happy she's properly around now
Basically we just caught her up on everything she missed: Justin's dad being adopted and his birth parents being the Baroness and Mr Sands and Justin being lured away to meet Mr Sands by Sabine.
Alex invites me to join the Soul Riders and when I accept Linda tells me she's gonna work on contacting Anne and Lisa, and in the mean time I should help the people of Jorvik. Girl basically just told me to do side quests for a while now lol
