Let’s go check in on Alex, see how much trouble she’s in
Hey Elizabeth, what horrible punishment did you give Alex? Is she banished like Evergray was? No? Just given chores nobody wants? Yeah that checks out
Elizabeth told me to go find Alex in Dino Valley and maybe help her out. She’s afraid she’s mad(you think?) because she’s harder on Alex than any of the other soul riders. This is because she sees herself in Alex and it sounds like she plans to have Alex take her place when she’s gone.
That’s sweet but I better go check on her and make sure she’s not too upset. High expectations don’t do very good things to a teen’s mental health
Hey Alex, how ya doin out here?
Looks like she’s taking her anger out on these little foxes that keep stealing the herbs she’s collecting.
They’re so cute, tho, how can you stay mad?
I helped her hunt them down and get the herbs back, and then we had a little heart to heart.
She’s feeling like she’s not good enough to be with the soul riders. She said part of the reason she wants to save Anne so bad is to help get Elizabeth off her back. Also this
Oh, Alex :(
I told her how much Elizabeth cares about her, and that I could never replace what she has with the other soul riders.
That appears to have worked to cheer her up because she told me of course I could never replace her, and it seems like I’ve got my own destiny going on anyway. You’re not wrong.
We decided to ride back to Valedale together, since it’s such a long way.
On our way there was this cutscene
It seems the Kallters are watching us. I’m so curious about them. SSO had them go behind the icengate right as I first got in to Dino Valley on my main account. I wish I’d been able to do quests with them at all.
Anyways, back to Alex and me heading to Valedale
Finally we got to the warmth of Valedale
Alex thanked me for listening and cheering her up, and then asked to go back to Valedale alone so she can pretend nothing happened between her and Elizabeth. Not the healthiest way to deal with conflict, but I don’t blame her.
